This hysteria too, is affecting our ability to quickly "get off of" foreign oil. More taxes means slower change. It literally applies the brakes to ingenuity, investments and new technology development. We tax it all. 64,000 pages of making it less expensive for multinationals to invest in manufacturing overseas. Feel you have no control over this? Not so, we stopped the "Amnesty" bill. Nancy Pelosi is allowing a vote for offshore drilling. Yes, we still hold the keys to the door.
The 'powers that be' in the media never mention this, but the proof is in the pudding mentioned above..

Some of those 9000 scientists that have raised objections to both the IPCC Report on "global warming" and Al Gore's film "Inconvenient Truth" have suffered grant losses. They have cause. They have time lines when decisions were made and why..
Ignoring their powerful scientific evidence is the decision of the irrational.
Why won't the scientists that back the report and back Al Gore's film come to public debate on public airwaves as they've been challenged to do, repeatedly?
Now using the same strategy the left has used for years, these scientists are using the court system to expose a hoax on our politicians, our entertainment industry and many innocent, normally rational, Americans.
They wish to take the stand and simply show us the counter evidence. Why do they feel this way? Let's have a look

When discomfirmatory (contrary) evidence is presented, Festinger found one condition that often determined whether the belief is discarded or maintained with new fervor by belief with a strongly held belief.
That was whether or not the individual believer has social support. It is unlikely that one isolated believer could withstand strong discomfirming evidence.
If, however, the believer is a member of a group of convinced persons who can support one another, you might expect the belief to be maintained and the believers to attempt to proselytize or persuade non-members that the belief is correct even in the face of data suggesting otherwise.
Don't be a water melon, Green on the outside and "Red" on the inside. Talk to friends and neighbors... be not afraid of the P.C. crowd. They do not want you talking, they want you afraid to talk...
