I do not think that it is the duty nor the right of the government to take from the producers in society without choice.

As Obama's wife said, "Well somebody's just going to have to give up their piece of the pie to gain "universal healthcare". This is the same mentality that shook Cuba after Castro took over.
The communist henchmen gave each family of property 3 days to gather all of those things they wished to take with them the rest the had to leave for "the people of Cuba"...
Where are the medical advances, the scientific advances that makes man's existence on this earth far more than a hunter gatherer?
Is it nurtured in collectivism?
Personal Freedom is the natural evolution of man. Our country is the most giving country in the world. Yet there are millions of us that find no joy in that. They only see in their minds eye wrong, pillage and greed.
You don't think Castro and his band of thugs were greedy?
Greedy for power, for rule, regardless of the plight of their people.. what is a Utopia where everyone is equally poor? I'd rather have society that nurtured the multi layer economic classes to move from and to.. Why not? Isn't that the embodiment of choice.... ?
No one said it is easy to choose.. it is frought with danger, but the precious gifts of health and strength and self expression, like this, are boundless..

Government can still redistribute to the needy. This can all be done through a national sales tax.
I believe personal liberty has a higher priority than government welfare.
Welfare should be implemented by the private sector with government acting as an information conduit only. Revenues should be collected in the state of need. Those states that wish to join in Union can, but since they would be regional in nature, would not be as prone to waste and corruption as our Federal government has grown to be..
We are the most compassionate nation in the world. Our privately funded foreign aid dwarfs any other country's government or private donations. Is that going to be the price for our Universal Healthcare.... and of course that would include most of the 20 to 35 million illegal aliens too...
Remember this help is mostly done by those mean old rich guys working together with many not so rich people.. just like we did at our founding..
Reminder to the Rhinos and Dems, it wasn't just the rich, or just the laborer or just the poor that gained our independence.
It was rich and poor and middle class working together, not calling each other names...
It's about time those liberal and conservative politicians realized that.. eh?? grin....
