Mr. Beck makes a great point. The “playing field” presented to American based businesses is very poor, because we've succumbed to the sirens song, "We will take care of you by taxing the rich.
As I’ve written before, the global economy has changed the way we must tax. We can no longer afford to be anti-capitalism and live in denial of the benefits to everyone that a free market system brings.
If you want a "Moral Imperative" you can make that one of them.

National Security?
We are dependent on Foreign Oil but we do not nurture the capitalism needed to release ourselves from it.
Instead we “bleed it dry” so that our major multi national corporations are “outsourcing” to save expenses associated with hiring Americans. This goes far beyond wages.
It’s also the taxes levied on all goods and services produced in America. Why else do we see only foreign goods in the majority of our stores?
This is directly associated with taxes levied on every thing produced, all corporate investment and capital gains and income. This is crippling the entrepreneur with these same taxes. I know this because of many years spent as a small business owner.
Mr. Beck did not go into much detail and maybe he and the other hosts might need an email about their further study or how a consumption tax coupled with a government rebate associated with family size, not income, effectively offsets this tax of the poor, the working poor and the middle class. Only the very rich pay the top 23% tax with none of the 64,000 pages of tax exemptions.
Write Glen and let him know, quite simply, that you want ALL of your paycheck, thank you. Instead let him know that the federal government can collect taxes from the new products and services retail counter where they already collect state taxes.
